Kabuto is the main antagonist in Pixar's Cars Toons: Tokyo Mater. A highly modified gray 1994 Mitsubishi Eclipse, he is a skilled drifter and self-proclaimed "king of Tokyo's streets." Kabuto challenges Mater to a drift race after a minor collision, with the loser facing the humiliation of being stripped of all modifications and returned to "stock" form. Despite his arrogance and flashy design, Kabuto loses the race, leading to his modifications being removed, symbolizing the episode's theme of humility and the value of authenticity.
