Flash Nilsson is a Swedish race car who appears in the Swedish version of Cars 2, where he replaces Jeff Gorvette during the Tokyo World Grand Prix welcome party scene. Based on and voiced by real-life Swedish racing driver Jan "Flash" Nilsson, the character greets Lightning McQueen alongside other international racers and later appears again during Mater's humorous hallucination sequence. Flash is a blue and yellow racer inspired by the colors of the Swedish flag, complete with Swedish design elements and chrome rims. In-universe he is a 2009 World Torque Champion League race car powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine producing around 470 horsepower, capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in about 3.8 seconds and reaching a top speed of roughly 160 mph.
