Barry DePedal is a next-generation Piston Cup racer introduced in Cars 3, competing for the RPM racing team with car number 64. He joins the Piston Cup during the 2016 season as a mid-season replacement for veteran racer Bruce Miller and quickly proves himself a competitive newcomer, finishing 4th at Rustbelt Raceway and 3rd at Heartland Motor Speedway early in his career. Barry is a Next-Gen 2017 Race Car SB-4 equipped with Lightyear racing tires and powered by a 5.86-liter naturally aspirated Next-Gen hybrid V8 engine producing around 750 horsepower, allowing him to accelerate from 0-60 mph in about 4 seconds and reach speeds of up to 200 mph. He features a distinctive indigo livery with red, orange, and yellow accents and a bright orange number 64 on his sides and roof, making him one of the recognizable next-generation competitors in the evolving Piston Cup field.
